Shawls, Shawls, and More Shawls

I seem to be on a shawl kick at the moment.  It could be because they are such fun to make and make up very fast.....well, most of the time.  I will be tackling some lace weight patterns in a few days and those usually take much longer than my favorite DK or Worsted Weight.  I must learn to hold a smaller hook and to be patient.  Patience is not something I am familiar with.  Just ask anyone who knows me.  So, here are the pictures of the shawls.  The 36 on 3-6 was a test of a pattern for Anastacia Zittel.  It is a lovely pattern and she has now published it.  It can be made with any weight yarn.  This one was made using Lion Brand's Amazing in the color Ruby.  It is very soft and cuddly.  It must be laid flat to dry.

This next shawl is made using Caron's Simply Soft in Sunshine.  I used a K hook to make it loose and soft.  The pattern was designed by Tammy Hildebrand  and was easy.  The yarn can be machine washed and dried.

Last but not least is the Lion Brand's Elegant Simplicity Shawl.  It is easy to make but I would recommend making it wider than the pattern suggests since it was only 11 inches wide after I added the extra rows of shells.  It could almost be a scarf.  I used Caron's Simply Soft yarn in Sunshine and in Pistachio, again with a K hook.
